Bob Nelson, Executive Producer
Bob Nelson, Executive Producer
I spent more than 25 years as Director of Broadcast and Content Production at such notable agencies as Lowe, DDB, and TBWA. My clients included Diet Coke, Diet Pepsi, Sprite, Heineken, Bud Light, Michelob, Mercedes-Benz, Subaru, and New York Lottery, to name a few.
As a manager, I chose to remain close to my craft, and produced many of my own projects. As a Producer, I have won six Lions at the Cannes International Advertising Festival, along with multiple ANDY and Clio Awards. My work has been honored at the AICP Show, and is included in the Museum of Modern Art’s film archive.
In 2009 I moved to the production-company side of the business, and joined Eyeball as President/ Partner. My responsibilities included business development, and agency and client relations. in 2010, Eyeball’s billings grew 100% over the prior year -- attributed to new agency relationships, repeat business, and a new association with Amazon for direct-to-client advertising.
In 2010 I was elected to the Digital Board of Directors of AICP, where I participated in drafting the industry’s first Digital Standards and Practices Guidelines.
In 2011, I joined QuietMan as Executive Producer.
From 2003-2009, I served as Director of Content Production at DDB NY, leading the transition of my department from traditional television and radio to full-service content creation, regardless of media platform. Clients, included New York Lottery, Hertz, Lipton, Cotton, Philips Electronics, Diet Pepsi, Anheuser Busch, and Merck.
Prior to DDB, I spent 9 years as Director of Broadcast Production at Lowe, managing production on Sprite, Diet Coke, Mercedes-Benz, and Heineken, among others.
Before joining Lowe, I was TBWA’s Director of Broadcast Production, producing for Evian and Club Med.
I managed the Broadcast Production Department at Levine Huntley Schmidt & Beaver for more than a decade. At Levine, I met a young and amazingly talented writer named Lee Garfinkel. We have collaborated together for much of our careers, and much of the work on this site is a result of that collaboration.
I began my career as a trainee at Doyle Dane Bernbach, rose through the ranks of the Production Department, and spent most of my tenure there as a Producer on Polaroid, Volkswagen, and Porsche.
